The Workplace

Billy Graham in the September '03 IDEA magazine says:

"The next great movement of God for evangelism will be in the workplace."

...and Mark Greene of the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity (LICC) asks:

"Why do we keep fishing in puddles at home where we know few Not Yet Believers, when we float at work on a deep lake of fish ready to be caught?"

But how do we capitalise on these already warm contacts without being too cringey and without stealing time from the boss?

CVM sees the workplace as the 21st century Front Line for evangelism.
That's why we partnered with another workplace organisation (CWF) in merging our workplace ministries, to birth a new organisation, Transform Work UK, inspiring Christians to transform the workplace and the nation. TWUK’s vision is has been to create a single point of contact to inspire Christians to transform their places of work for God's Kingdom. The end goal is to see the UK workplace transformed, locally and nationally, by every Christian living out their faith in effective workplace ministry, leading to transformation over time in the nation’s culture, values and spiritual environment..  

Goals 

Working directly with workplace groups and professional groups to:

• Support and build vibrant and effective workplace Christian groups through mentoring, consultancy and training.
• Facilitate networking that brings real benefits to local and national associations through local, regional and national events.
• Envision young adults in transition to the workplace by university, school and youth related events, and others in job-to-job transition. 
• Collate and disseminate good news of what God is doing in the workplace.
• Proclaim with unity and clarity Christian values concerning the workplace by working with the Media and influencing policy makers.
