Moved to Bradford in 2002 to take up a new challenge, in a new church - Idle Baptist Church. Saw through the beginning of a new children's work and focused on community building. In 2005 responded to the call of God to become the Team Leader of Harehills Lane Baptist Church in Leeds (which has become a church of 51 nationalities). The Church at Harehills Lane is a church of special diversity, with many from other Christian traditions, as well as enthusiastically embracing the richness that comes from welcoming people from a diversity of theological and cultural backgrounds. I became the president of the Yorkshire Baptist Association (2008/2009). I'm currently pursuing mission nationally among "OUTLAW" Motorcycle clubs and reflecting on church planting within this "OUTLAW" culture and working towards a church plant with a difference, called "SAINTS&SINNERS". I'm an associate member of the oldest Christian motorcycle club in the world, God's Squad Christian Motorcycle Club, which has charters world wide. My previous life before becoming a christian was that of heavy involvement with drugs and alcohol, resulting in 3 sentences in Scottish prisons. Much of my life as a Baptist minister has consisted of 2 particular emphases: 1. Encouraging Authentic "Jesus" discipleship, 2. Encouraging mission among people that have no voice, those who are not only on the edge of the church but also society (prisoners, Outlaw bikers, those with a dependency on drugs and alcohol, the poor etc ...). I currently ride a new American motorcycle "Victory Vegas 8 Ball", 1651cc of raw muscle power, with a roar that is designed to wake the dead. I'm married to the lovely Rachel and have 3 children James(14), Abigail (9) and Thomas (4). I love reading and have a real interest in building custom one off motorcycles. |

I was a prison chaplain from 1991 till 1996 in the West Country. Graduated from Spurgeon's College in 2000 and was ordained in July of the same year. Served at Wood Lane Baptist Church, Dagenham Essex for 5 years (3 years before ordination and 2 after). Saw the church grow considerably in the five years there. Sensed the call of God to move to The North.
